Meet Our Team

Phillip Parra, LCSW

Phillip is the founder of Parra Counseling and Wellness Services. He has over 30 years of Social Work experience and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2014. He is highly effective working with adults and teens who struggle with anxiety and depression, PTSD, and self-worth. He has many years of experience working with mature adults and related issues, teens- peer pressure and identity, anger management, LGBTQ+, alcohol and substance abuse, Veteran issues, and family and marriage counseling. Phillip has an ability to engage with people and help them navigate life’s struggles and overcome past difficulties and trauma. He believes that negative thinking is often a disruption to our true potential, and that therapy can help us think and perceive differently.

Laura Miles, LCSW

Laura Miles is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated from Smith College School for Social Work in 2010. Her experience includes family therapy, individual therapy, women’s issues, Veterans, substance abuse, relapse and recovery, and Mindfulness practice. Laura is known for her patience, empathy, kindness, and ability to connect with people. She is a dog lover and is a supporter of Best Friends Animal Society.

Judy Diaz, Psychiatric NP

Judith Diaz is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has logged over 20 years in the Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency field. She holds national board certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving the mental health needs of adolescents and adults. She incorporates holistic care; the provision of care to patients that are based on a mutual understanding of their physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. In addition, holistic care emphasizes the partnership between nurse and patient and the negotiation of healthcare needs that lead to recovery. She is open to helping clients explore the benefits of alternative(therapeutic touch, EFT), complementary (life-style changes, exercise, yoga, meditation, hypnosis)as well as traditional interventions(therapy and medication support).
